FAQ

WHAT ARE MOBILE PRESETS?
A Preset is a template containing manual edits that have been previously made in Lightroom, you can think of them as a filter for your photos made for the Lightroom Mobile App. These are the Presets I use to edit my photos for Instagram.

WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER TO USE THE PRESETS?
The free Lightroom App for Mobile - available in the App Store.

DO THESE PRESETS WORK ON EVERY PHOTO?
These presets are very easy to use, but every photo is different, so you may need to tweak the presets depending on the lighting, camera gear, composition, etc. There are so many factors that determine how a preset looks on each photo. Try playing around with different adjustments to find your own unique style.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
All preset sales are final and each purchase is non-refundable due to the digital nature of the products. If you’re having troubles, make sure you’ve followed the proper installation steps and that you have the most updated version of Lightroom. There are no refunds or exchanges.

How To Install Your Mobile Presets

1. Install & Download the Adobe Lightroom app on your phone, if you haven’t already, you will then need to create an Adobe account. This is free to do.

2. Make sure you have the files app on your phone, or an unzip app to open your .zip folder.

3. Go to your email confirmation and click the ‘Digital Download’ link. This will prompt you to an internet browser and ask you to download the presets, click download.

4. Open your ‘Files’ app and open the ‘Downloads’ folder. Tap the .zip file to unzip the file, then open the folder that appears. You will now see the preset names.

5. Importing the Presets into Lightroom.

A) Tap on a preset, click the box/arrow button at the bottom left corner (or the three dots on android) and locate/tap your Lightroom app. Tap ‘Launch Lightroom Now’. You will see a photo appear! If not, the photo can be found directly in your Lightroom ‘All Photos’ album.

B) Select all of the presets and click the bottom left icon (blue arrow in box) and ‘save images’. These are DNG files, so they will show as a blank image on your phone. Open up Lightroom and add all of the DNG files into your Lightroom App.

7. You will now be saving each preset in your Lightroom app. Once the photo is selected, click the three dots at the top right corner of your screen. Tap ‘Create Preset’ from the options that pop up.

8. Type the preset name – for example: “New York - Soho” and make sure all settings are selected/checked on. Under Preset Group, tap ‘User Presets’ and ‘Create New Preset Group’. Title this group. For example: “Jelena NYC Presets”. Now click the check mark on the top right corner.

9. You can repeat this process for each preset and you can add them to the same Preset Group.

10. Start Editing your mobile photos! Import the image you want to edit. Scroll the toolbar and select ‘Presets’. You will see your presets folder and presets saved there. EDITING TIPS

LIGHT: This will be the first thing you’d want to adjust. To brighten or darken your image use the Exposure slider. Use the contrast slider to create darker tones or to soften your image. Adjusting the highlights and shadows will make a big difference too.

COLOR: Temperature - slide the temperature settings to the right to make your image warmer and to the right to make your image cooler. Jelena loves sliding the temperature to the warmer side. Also play around with the Tint slider to adjust the green/magenta hues.

VINTAGE: Looking to give your image more of a vintage feel? Bring your texture slider down and add lots of Grain. Love this look for portraits.
